A new turnmoil, triggered by useless, senseless and economically devastating projects that could have and should have been easily and sparingly avoided, is about to change forever the famous town of Florence, cradle of the Renaissance, into a desert land. Thousands of trees will be cut down, tunnels will be drilled under the city, opening up new risks of floods like the one back in 1966, to save up to 10 minutes for the AVG fast trains, when these trains are ALREADY and regularly going through. Millions of euros spent in the name of modernity for no reason other than political and economical GREED of a few (not the citizens, though, nor the millions of tourists). For the next five years, the Mayor Matteo Renzi said in a public interview, Florence will be turned upside down.
The Mayor of Florence promised Florence won’t look the same anymore. We do believe this is no lie. The lie, if any, is that he loves being a Mayor, after Matteo Renzi, 37 years old and striving to become the new juvenile hero of Italy to replace Mr. Monti, lost his political battle against his co-competitor in the PD, Mr. Bersani, three weeks ago, Matteo Renzi is now ready for the Maya prophecy, setting his world record, destroy an ancient city Patrimony of Unesco within a few years, starting (this is our guess) from December 21st....
